Welcome to Autism Center for Young Children

If your child has received a diagnosis within the autism spectrum you are welcome to the Autism Center for Young Children. Children between the ages of one and six living in Stockholm County are entitled to come to us.

Here, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, social workers, special education teachers and speech-language pathologists work as a team. A fundamental thought behind our work is that all the important people in the child’s life help each other out. That is why we collaborate closely with parents and preschool staff.

Together with parents, we plan interventions for each child in a so called habilitation plan. We make individualised developmental programs of varying intensity. In many of the programs we use methods based upon applied behavior analysis (ABA). We can offer early intensive behavioral interventions (EIBI) for children four years old or younger.

We also provide information and support to parents, such as an introductory course for parents of newly remitted children and individual counselling.
